STORING DOUGH

You can keep the uncooked dough in a sealed container in the fridge for up to two weeks. Simply take some out, dollop on a lined baking tray and allow to come up to room temperature for 5 mins before baking.

FREEZING THE BISCUITS

If you've frozen the biscuits, take them out and arrange them on a lined baking sheet. Once defrosted, pop them in a medium oven 190C/ 170 fan/ gas mark 5 and heat for 2 - 3 mins to crisp up. Don't leave them too long or they'll dry out.

Fab and easy recipe. We had no chocolate chips in the cupboard so broke up a bar of dark and milk chocolate. The recipe made loads of biscuits too and I had to bake them in batches. Will be using this one regularly now!

Not bad and very easy to do, dough a bit bland, added a bit of nutmeg to perk it up.

These are lovely! Much nicer and thicker than my usual chocolate chip cookie recipe. I chopped up a bar of chocolate instead of using chocolate chips. Will definitely be making these again.

Great, simple and traditional cookies. My kids loved them and I am sure you can experiment with different ingredient or spices. I did mine with a mixture of white and milk chocolate chips.

I don't know what I did wrong but mine came out rather flat and greasy.... though they still tasted o.k. if you like that much of butter...any suggestions?

This recipe is absolutely brilliant. These cookies were so quick and easy to make and such a hit with young and old. I shall be making them again for a baby shower very soon as I know they will go down well. Thanks Good Food for another foolproof recipe!

Another great recipe to make with children. Very straight forward, not too much in the way of technical skills needed (no more than cracking an egg), and they taste great. Didn't have the dark chocolate chips, but used a mixture of milk and white chocolate instead, which made them very sweet - fine for the children, but too much for me :) Next time we might try substituting the vanilla for orange oil, and swap some of the flour for cocoa to make a double chocolate orange variety. Great for afternoon tea.

Easy, very easy in fact. Made them with my toddler and he loves the baking and eating. If you take them out at just the right time they are crisp on the outside and soft on the inside-perfect. One thing tho!...next time i make them i will reduce the sugar a tad-they are rather sweet for my liking.

Traditional cookies can be tricky to get right - but this recipe is great and totally foolproof. The cookies looked perfect and tasted delicious - and the raw dough is fab too! Would be great stirred into a bit of icecream for a DIY Ben and Jerry's cookie dough ice cream! Highly recommend this recipe.

Cookies are amazing... I took them to a house warming and everyone thought they were shop bought. I haven't tried the exact recipe above as I've made them into: -Orange and Chocolate Chip (2 oranges zested and 100g chocolate chips) -Banana and Chocolate Chip (100g banana chips and 100g chocolate chips) Will be trying out 'Cranberry and White Chocolate' and 'Coconut and Lime' later today! Yum!
