Ingredients
- 100g butter
- 100g caster sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp red food colouring
- 1 tsp cocoa powder
- 200g self-raising flour
FOR DECORATION
- 175g butter
- 275g icing sugar
Method
- STEP 1Preheat the oven to gas mark 4/170C.
- STEP 2Beat the butter sugar together until creamy.
- STEP 3Add in the eggs, red food colouring, and cocoa powder.
- STEP 4Fold in the flour.
- STEP 5Bake for 15-25 minutes.
- STEP 6After cooling, mix the butter and icing sugar and smooth over cupcakes using either a spoon, or palette knife.
- STEP 7Enjoy!
