  • 1 small tub (200g) low-fat crème fraîche
  • 300g tagliatelle

Method

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan and sizzle the pancetta or bacon for about 5 mins until starting to crisp. Turn up the heat and add the grated courgette to the pan. Cook for 5 mins or until soft and starting to brown then add the garlic and cook for a minute longer. Season and set aside.

  2. Cook the tagliatelle according to the pack instructions and scoop out a cupful of cooking water. Drain the tagliatelle and tip into the frying pan with the bacon and courgette. Over a low heat toss everything together with the crème fraiche and half the Parmesan adding a splash of pasta water too if you need to loosen the sauce. Season to taste and serve twirled into bowls with the remaining Parmesan scattered over.

We're not keen on courgettes so keep looking for new ways to try them. I looked at some of the other comments & aded chilli flakes & extra garlic. Everyone loved it!

I can't wait to make this! Had earmarked Jamie Oliver's similar one, but then realised there are raw eggs in it, so being pregnant had to rethink! Delighted to find this one to use up the courgettes and pancetta!!!

was good, but i used grated cheddar instead of parmisean on my first bath which i found didn't compliment it as well... so i'd say stick to the guidelines it's lovely!

Delicious. I added frozen peas for the last minute of cooking then topped with basil and chilli flakes before serving. Loved the spicy kick!

This was an excellent recipe. Easy, quick and looked so good on the plate. I made my own pasta for the first time to use with this recipe and it just worked an absolute treat.

This recipe was quick, tasty and cheap. Added spring onions when I added the garlic. Will defo make again. I don't usually like creamy sauces but this has to be my first exception. Courgettes add substance to it. Will add more bacon next time

Used a speed peeler and made ribbons of courgette instaed of grating them. Added a good pinch of chilli flakes for a spicy kick and as I cannot get creme fraiche used Greek yoghurt. Very tasty meal - husband loved it. Already added to my recipe binder!!

How can so few ingredients make such a tasty meal?! Easy, very quick and delicious. I was only cooking for 2 so halved the recipe but I actually think it could have taken an extra courgette in there. Definitely making this one again
