Method

  1. Mix together all the ingredients until well blended. Divide into 8 balls, then roll each ball on a board with a cupped hand to turn them into ovals.
  2. Thread onto 4 metal skewers and brush with oil. To cook on a griddle: heat the pan until you can feel a good heat rising and cook for 3-4 mins each side. Don't turn until they are well sealed or the meat will stick to the grill or pan. Season if you want, and set aside. Serve the koftas with yogurt and spiced flat breads.
Try

To BBQ

Put the meat skewers on the grill over a medium heat for about 3-4 mins each side.

This is a delicious recipe. I just make it for tonight dinner. Instead of using the recipe to make kebab, I turned it into meat ball. It really compliments well the brinjal pasta. Thanks for sharing this recipe. Tina www.bakingfrenzy.com

I whizzed the ingredients (minus mince) in a food processor and added a chopped red chilli and some onion. Then combined this with the mince. It was delicious! Served it with a mint yoghurt sauce, slice of lemon for squeezing and a feta cheese salad - yum!

I made these last night and they were really nice. I made a few changes i added more cumin, fresh corriander, some red chilli powder, egg to bind it and lemon juice. I also made them into little burgers and grilled them on the george foreman and had them with pita's salad and hummus. Nice and easy

delicious BUT it says serves 8, but should say MAKES 8 koftas which defo is not enough for 8 people!! theyre quite small so i'd say this recipe makes enough for 2-3 people at a push...

These lamb koftas are delicious and so easy to make! They literally took 15 mins start to end. They needed a little more cooking time than the recipes states, but perhaps i rolled mine a little wide. We had them in wraps with some homemade mint yoghurt and they stuffed two hungry adults!
