  • oil for brushing

Method

  1. Mix together all the ingredients until well blended. Divide into 8 balls, then roll each ball on a board with a cupped hand to turn them into ovals.

  2. Thread onto 4 metal skewers and brush with oil. To cook on a griddle: heat the pan until you can feel a good heat rising and cook for 3-4 mins each side. Don’t turn until they are well sealed or the meat will stick to the grill or pan. Season if you want, and set aside. Serve the koftas with yogurt and spiced flat breads.

Extremely easy to prepare and delicious. Took on board the doubling up of spices and glad I did. I think it could even take doubling up again. Will make again, especially during BBQ time. Served with yogurt with mint, soft bread and tomato and onion salad.

Made this yesterday. After reading comments doubled spices and added dried chilli powder. Served in soft tortilla wraps with salad and mint yoghurt dip. Delicious!!
5 stars for ease of making and taste!

I've made these a few times now, and they're really good but they need a lot more spice - I treble the amount stated and add some chilli flakes, plus a really good dose of salt. Really nice with minted yoghurt, Greek salad and roasted sweet potato and peppers, or herb rice.

Simple and delicious, I used 750g of mince, an extra tsp each of ground cumin and coriander and whizzed up half the mince with the chopped mint and garlic, plus a bit of fresh coriander and a splash of lemon juice. This mixed with the remaining mince gives a lovely texture and I served with greek yoghurt mixed with ready made mint sauce.

So delicious, we'll definitely make these again. I served it with Geek salad (also from bbc good food) and a homemade yogurt and mint dip.

I didn't have any ground cumin, quite annoyingly, so substituted the cumin and coriander for a tsp of raw el hangout. Shaped in to mini burgers, seared in a griddle pan and finished in the oven. Delicious served with a warm sandwich thin, salad and mint yogurt dressing.

Just made these. I loved them!!!! So easy. I added crushed garlic, chilli powder, ginger paste and garam masala. Put them in the fridge to firm up and then grilled for colour. Popped into a hot oven to cook through. Served with cous cous . So quick

These lamb koftas are delicious and so easy to make! They literally took 15 mins start to end. They needed a little more cooking time than the recipes states, but perhaps i rolled mine a little wide. We had them in wraps with some homemade mint yoghurt and they stuffed two hungry adults!
