  These are really light and absolutely delicious with cheese and nibbles and a glass of wine (as well as being fab for children's lunchboxes)

  These are wonderful! I split them and put cream cheese in the middle as a change for those boring packed lunches!

  These are FAB served with a cheese selection with some home made chutneys and relishes as a different take on a ploughmans! They freeze really well and kids loved them in their lunch boxes with cheese in the middle as a different cheese sandwich.

  These are delicious and so easy to make, I used buttermilk instead of greek yogurt which seemed to work well. They were even a hit with my boyfriend who is definately in the "hate Marmite" camp!

  These are delicious!My family loved them,my one year old son even loved them!The marmite adds a real savory flavour,very tasty.

  Delicious. Added some dried herbs to the flour. Also didn't have wholemeal flour so used brown bread mix. Turned out fine.

  I followed recipe exactly and love the taste but they are a bit "heavy"............am I too heavy handed with the dough? could it be the fact that I have used wholemeal flour which is new to me? Would like to make them lots but they are not something I would be proud to offer to guests.

  Hi, I've recently got into baking & really like the sound of these. However, I'm slightly confused. When it says 'wholemeal flour', does it mean plain or self raising? Hope I'm not being too dense. : )

  i tried this recipe as my husband loves marmite but i wanted to do something other than put it on toast for him. i don't usually like marmite myself but these scones were delicious! very easy to make aswell.

  I only got the chance to eat one of these scones, it was delicious, my eldest son scoffed the rest so next time I make them, I'm going to have to hide a few in a place where only I can find them!

  Any suggestions for an alternative to the yogurt, i'm not a big fan of it so it would be quite wasteful to buy a tub just for a few spoonfulls

  really easy to make, got the 'thumbs-up' from my family of marmite lovers but weren't overly marmite flavoured for me who hates the stuff! will definately make them again. They look nice with the cheese melted on the top too.

  Suggestion for Joha: I would replace the 2 tbsps yoghurt with 2tbsps milk to which you have added a squeeze of lemon juice, then leave to stand for a few minutes to allow the milk to curdle. It is this acidity which helps the scones to rise.
