I've been making this cake for ages and everyone loves it. I often take it to work and it's a real success. Very nice with coffee/tea. You can mix the apples with the mixture instead of layering it - still tastes delicious.

easy to make and very nice. Would like to add some spice though as I felt a little bland. Used granny smiths and they were perfect.

Delicious and so easy to make! I reduced the sugar to 225g and it was still lovely and sweet. I'll make this again.

Gorgeous! So mosit and tasty. I put all the apples in a single layer in the middle. Lovely warm with custard straight from the oven and also cold the next day.

This was absolutely gorgeous, I had so many apples from an orchard and I put them to good use. I also added dates to the layers and that was really nice. It's so large I think it will last the week!
