Method

  1. Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan and gently fry the onion, garlic and chilli flakes, stirring regularly, for 5 mins (add a little water if they begin to stick).

  2. Cook pasta following pack instructions. Add the tomatoes, wine and oregano to the frying pan and stir to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 mins.

  3. Shake the spinach into the pan and cook for 1-2 mins until wilted. Drain the pasta and tip into the pan with the sauce. Toss to combine, sprinkle with cheese and serve.

Very, very bland. I even added extra chilli, extra herbs, extra garlic. Skip this one and find another recipe.

Easy to rustle up - all you need is to pick up a bag of spinach from the shop. Ten mins prep and 10-15 mins to put together. Tastes like an hour longer went into it! To boost the flavour (after the other comments) I was generous with the wine and oregano. I didn't have chilli flakes so added large lugs (until it tasted right) of hot pizza oil I make in a regular basis. That's best olive oil heated with chopped garlic, cayenne dried peppers and rosemary. No Parmesan so mixed half of grated mature cheese/pizza mozzarella into the pan at the end and sprinkles the rest over the top. Trust me - marvelous!

Not as spicy as expected, but still very nice!

Bit disappointed with this one. I expected better depth of flavour but the end result was quite bland.

I didn't have oregano so used an Italian herb mix I had, nice kick with the chilli flakes but could have done with slightly deeper flavours. Recommend as a nice healthy recipe though!
