1-1 and a half hours cooling time in fridge

Method

  1. Melt the butter, sugar, syrup & cocoa in a pan on a low heat.
  2. Remove pan from heat and add the raisins
  3. Crush the biscuits using a pestle and mortar (or rolling pin) and add to the melted mixture * for extra chocolate taste, add some melted chocolate to the mixture and stir well.
  4. Pour mixture into a rectangular tin and press down firmly with a fork (so it is all tightly compressed togeether)
  5. Melt the chocolate and pour over the mixture evenly.
  6. Put it into the fridge and leave to set for an hour to an hour and a half.

    Never in my life have I made such a sumptuous and beautiful tiffin! Thank you ever so much for this recipe - I have been searching far and wide and I have finally found the perfect ingredients! God bless you two, I'm sure you'll go far in the cooking world.

  • 8oz Rich tea biscuits
  • 4oz butter
