I first made these a few weeks ago, but doubled the recipe to make more than the stated number of scones - they came out lovely and lasted only a day. I made them again tonight as a quick treat for a friend and they were just as beautiful, but this time I added some mix spice which worked amazingly. This is definitely a recipe I want to know off by heart.

I made this today but was pretty skeptical about the success. I also added a bit of cinnamon and vanilla sugar. When it was done I tought the flavour was a bit too flowery. But that was just because I've never eaten scones and I had to get used to the flavour. I think these would be great with some dry cranberries. And next time I'm going to add more cinnamon. It is a quick, simple recipe with a delicious and good smelling result.

This is the first batch of scones that have been 100% success for me. Over the years I have tried, tried and better tried various recipes only to be disappointed with their look & texture. THANK YOU. Yummy, especially with home made strawberry jam.
