Baked Camembert

Oven-cook your favourite soft cheeses until gooey for this simple, last-minute crowd pleaser

Method

  1. Heat oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6. Unwrap the cheese from its packaging, then place back into its box. Tie string around the box to secure. Slash the cheese a few times and top with vermouth, thyme sprigs and a pinch of dried chilli flakes. Bake on a baking tray for 20 mins until gooey. Serve with toasted bread or crackers for dipping.

    I got a camembert baker for Christmas and cut a couple of large garlic cloves into slivers and stuck those straight in through the camembert skin and made some slots to poke some sage sprigs in as well......and it was delicious. Am keen to try this recipe too or repeat my first attempt and just add booze! All very moreish!
