So nice! I did this last Christmas for everyone to have while I was cooking the dinner. I also did this with normal and cloudy apple juice for those not drinking alchol, it was equally as nice!

Absolutely the best mulled wine I've had. Many guests said they don't normally like mulled wine but were begging for this recipe. I would suggest good quality wine as it makes all the difference.

I'm not a fan of mulled wine but I really want to like it, so I tried this and it's definitely the most likable one I've tasted. The berries give it a lovely flavor. It's very rich though, one glass was enough for me.

We have made this recipe every winter for the last 3 years. I've tried a number of mulled wine recipes and this is the best so far. I have experimented with different juices and liqueurs. Cointreau or Drambruie are still my favourite liqueurs. If you can find some mixed berry juice (not sure if I can mention brand names here but the one we use contains sour cherry juice - we live in Australia though) then the combination is beautiful. Cranberry juice is also good if you are using a softer wine (e.g. Merlot, Grenache, a light Shiraz/Syrah).

Was loveeeely, i used less sugar and a tbsp of honey instead (my family isn't huge on sweetness) and i also didn't use as much applejuice as it said. I also added 2 cloves, ginger (fresh), a little pepper, and i let it stand overnight - reaaally improved the flavour! Anyway, overall it was delicious, i used a merlot which cost me 5 euros per bottle and i wouldn't have known the difference if it had been a 20 euro bottle.

Absolutely incredible! I live in France, so usually have some mulled wine at a cafe when we're out round the festive season. Nothing I've tasted can hold a candle to this recipe though! I made it exactly as the recipe, using a Beaujolais rather than Merlot, as I'm not keen on the heavy full-bodied red wines - in fact I don't drink red wine at all. This, though, is a winner and will certainly become a tradition for me from now on during the festive season! Thanks so much for sharing.
