Such a great alternative to mulled wine or cider for the drivers, I followed the recipe word for word but used cloudy apple juice. Smells and tastes amazing.

Did this yesterday, put it in a flask and took it on a long walk. Absolutely delicious. Didnt bother with fruit skins, I put a slug of lemon juice in to give it a citrus burst. I did put a couple of tea spoons of sugar in it, which I don't think I'll bother with next time, it didn't need it. Im going to keep this receipe a secret, it will gaurantee im invited to all those bonfire parties coming up, especially as it's so transportable! Give it a go it's so easy.

A great alternative to mulled wine. Just as warming, but without the worry of alcohol!

I added some lemon and orange slices rather than the orange peel. Really tasty alternative to mulled wine.

I made this as an alternative to mulled wine on bonfire night. It made a really good winter warmer for the kids, and was a preferred alternative to beer for some of the oldies!

I found that it was quite strong/thick so could be diluted down with a bit of cold water, which made it a more drinkable temperature as well.

Must give it a try, judging from the comments. We have bottles and bottles of our own apple juice so looks like this is the recipe!

My husband is a regular on anything that is juice... I made this for him as a special treat on a special day.. He loved it!
It wasn't clear as it shows in the picture though, but then maybe because I left all the ingredients in the apple juice in the fridge overnight and seived the day after. Didn't need any sugar or honey.

Yum - enjoyed by all - kids and adults alike. Didn't have cinnamon sticks but 1 level tsp ground cinnamon and sieved it before serving. Will certainly be serving this at Christmas.
