Method

  1. pre heat oven 160 C
  2. cream butter and both sugars together
  3. add egg and vanilla essence and mix until well combined
  4. fold in sifted flour, baking powder and bicarbonate of soda
  5. add choc chips and porridge oats and mix well with a wooden spoon
  6. take a spoonful of the mixture and place on a grease proof or lined baking tray, reapeat unil all the mixture is used about 20 - 24 cookies depending on how big you like them!
  7. place in a preheated oven at 160 C for about 15 - 20 mins, they should be light brown in colour and slightly soft in the middle
  8. leave to cool for 5 mins on the tray and then transfer to cooling rack
  9. enjoy!

    Made these this evening and its made nearly 50 normal sized biscuits! I was worried because the mixture looked very dry but they've actually turned out lovely.

  • 125g Butter
  • 85g Brown Sugar
  • 125g White Sugar
  • 150g Plain Flour (sifted)
  • 170g Porridge Oats
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
  • 100g Choc Chips
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
  • 1 egg
