Pork & mushroom stroganoff

Method

  1. Fry the pork and then the mushrooms in a little oil and butter until cooked. Add the paprika and fry for 1 minute, then add the sherry and bubble until it has evaporated.
  2. Stir in the soured cream and season well. Sprinkle with another pinch of paprika.

    A decent stroganoff recipe. I used some freshly grated horseradish and a little more sour cream.

    Really nice stroganoff. I used a bit more sherry and paprika which made it really lovely. It was just like the jar sauces you can get...but better!

    sounds yummy, cold and rainy day here in France so am going to make for hubby tonight! am using single cream and wine beccause I have no sherry!

    I love this dinner, very easy especially during the week as quick. I use pork fillet and add a pinch of hot paprika and use half fat creme fraiche and of course my hand slips on the sherry!!! I serve it with a coconut rice and it is yummy and my other half thinks I have cooked an amazing meal which I tell him took me hours!!!!
