American Pancakes

American style breakfast pancakes. Ideal with fruit & yogurt or maple syrup.

Method

  1. Sift dry ingredients into large bowl; set aside.
  2. Beat together wet ingredients.
  3. Gently stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients.
  4. Beat egg whites until fluffy but not dry; fold gently into batter. Add 1 cup blueberries if desired.
  5. Spoon large ladlefulls onto hot, buttered skillet. Turn pancake over once top is slightely dry and most bubbles have popped. Serve hot with fresh fruit and yogurt, or maple syrup.

    I didn't change any ingredients but the mixture went slightly wrong because it wasn't smooth and a layer of thicker mixture formed on the top.
