Chocolate cake with chocolate chips and hazelnut

Ingredients

  • 8oz margarine or butter
  • 8oz sugar
  • 3 or 4 eggs (depending on size of egg 3 if large 4 if medium)
  • 100ml of milk
  • 200g bar of milk choc (smashed into bits)
  • 100g chopped hazelnuts
  • 2oz of cocco
  • 6oz of self raising flour

Method

    1. Cream the margarine and sugar with a spoon
    2. Add the eggs and milk and beat with a whisk (either electric or by hand)
    3. Stir in the hazelnuts and chocolate
    4. Fold in the flour and cocco using a metal spoon but gradually
    5. place in a greased 8" tin and place in oven at 180 degrees C and bake for about 40mins or until pronge comes out clean You can put the mix into bun cases but reduce the cooking time to 30 mins

This cake is to die for...my kids love it and it always causes arguments cos they always want it. I don't usually put a topping on this cake as it is really rich but i have served it with cream before which is gorgeous. Happy experimenting
