I noticed that there was not a fat content listed for the completed recipe. I would imagine it would be off the scale!

Mikeandandy - this is golden syrup. I've also made this using drinking chocolate in the base instead of chocolate. No idea how much - just kind of chucked until it seemed like the right consistency. Now crunchie bars.... that sounds good! Will have to try that. But think I'll top it with milk chocolate - can't quite get my head round the idea of crunchie bars with white chocolate.

My teenage daughter and her boyfriend loved doing this recipe. It all went exactly according to plan. They used some cornflakes in substitute for some of the digestives. We all thought the syrup made it especially tasty. Lovely!

They are VERY sweet but seem to be popular in my office. I divided them into 24 bars and worked out they are 183 calories with 11g of fat each. Easy to make, the only issue was with melting the white chocolate but I managed to rescue that.

I reduced the amount of butter and increased the chocolate. I added mixed dried berries I had in cupboard. Absolutely lovely but by the time I bought all the ingredients it worked out very expensive. Not for every day.

Really very good! I used those digestive biscuits with caramel inside and milk chocolate on the top and cut each biscuit into 16 pieces which added a nice bit of caramel flavour. I cut the finished tray into bite sized pieces and found that they really were best served straight from the fridge. Delicious!

Fabulous. I have a sweet tooth and they were a little sweet for me, so i might try using dark or a mix of dark/milk chcoclate next time. I too struggled melting the whire chocolate and there didn't seem enough - so i spread it leaving some gaps. It look messy but once it was divided into slices they looked as if it was supposed to be like that.
