Made the lasagne this evening. I will be giving it another go with further modifications. Usually if a recipe doesn't meet my exacting (!) standards I won't bother with it again but I will in this instance because 1. Good sized portion for the kcals 2. perfect consistancy and preportions 3. such low cals for a lasagne. The big failing for our taste was that it was very bland. The alterations I made to it was extra spinach, quorn mince & Old Winchester cheese. In mark two I intend to add Yorkshire & Dark Soy Sauce to the mince mixture and less water (half a can?) it needs to be richer and more flavoursome to combat the blandness of the white sauce (not unpleasantly creamy) and don't want to increase the calories by adding more Old Winchester. Will revisit at a later date and post my comment.

My family really enjoyed the lasagne but would leave out the tin of water as there was a lot of liquid and had to drain it off. Also sed a jar of Dolmio béchamel sauce instead.

I found this in the healthy "vegetarian" recipes section!! Thought it sounded nice until I read the first ingredient.

Re the lady who can't find fresh lasagne sheets: soak dried ones for about 20 minutes in medium hot water - tastes no different to the untrained pallete

Very good indeed. I made this with gluten-free lasagne and it was excellent. It didn't freeze all too well with the GF lasagne - the lasagne sheets fell apart on thawing - but that isn't the recipe's fault!

First lasange I've ever made (I'm 16) and don't eat red meat so made with turkey mince and was lovely. Will try it with quorn next time!

The filling tastes fine, but I was disappointed with the sauce topping which was very bland. If I made it again I'd try out Jenni's cottage cheese suggestion or just go for a normal bechamel.

This was a nice easy recipe that tasted good even though the calories were low for a lasagne.

what can we do if we cannot find any fresh lasagne sheets? can we use dried ones and if yes how many? thanks in advance !!

Really tasty! I didn't use the tin of water, would have made it too thin, I also added a beef stock cube for a bit more flavour and a good sprinkling of pepper.

For a healthier version I use cottage cheese instead of the bechamel [white sauce] still get the nice cheesy flavour without the calories- yum
