Manchego cheese triangles with quince preserve

Method

  1. Cut 200g/8oz manchego cheese into triangles or squares and cut the quince paste (membrillo) into small pieces. Top each slice of cheese with a piece of quince paste and serve on a flat plate.

A different cheese

Manchego is a firm, mild Spanish cheese. Emmi Cave-aged emmental is a good substitute.

    I serve slices of Manchego topped with Jamon Iberico and home made Membrillo drizzled with cold pressed extra virgin Spanish olive oil as a starter.

    lol! Actually this is easier than buttered toast, no cooking required. Shame it isnt a recipe for the quince jelly, missed opportunity for someone here.
