  I made this dough at the weekend and divided it in 2, so half for chrismassy biscuits and half for the choc nut bars recipe that is on this website. A roaring success!! As per previous comments I didn't have the oven temperature so worked on 160 fan oven (180 normal oven) and they came out fine. Will make again for xmas to give away to pepole as pressies.

  Madethese cookies for my grandaughters birthday. We used cookie cutters with her age. All the children loved them. So easy to make. Do you have a recipe for making them with semolina, had one years ago but have lost it. Can anyone help, please? Cath

  Nearly threw the dough away as i just couldnt get it to mould and was so crumbly, then i read a tip about chilling the mixture before rolling in cling film and thank goodness i did, it worked a treat. First time making biscuits ever, i added cranberries and lemon to one batch and choc chuncks and hazlenuts to the other. Taste homemade which is a good thing but not quite the best biscuit ive ever tasted!

  yummy and very easy to make, i did have to add an extra egg yoke though to get it to bind....eaten 3 already and they are still warm!!!

  I used this dough to make the 'vanilla thins', but I added a generous amount of chocolate chunks (about 200g I think) and some halved macadamias (only about 50g). I had lovely chunky shortbread cookies and they went down a treat!

  Really yummy biscuits, I cut mine into stars with cookie cutters and sprinkled with caster sugar, they didn't stay uneaten for long! I've also used the recipe to make chocolate and vanilla swirls; make up the recipe as instructed, but leave out the vanilla and divide dough into two, add 1 tsp vanilla to one half and one tbs of coco powder to the other. Roll both sets of dough into a rectangle of the same size, place one on top of the other and roll up to make a sausage shape. Leave to rest for 15 mins, cut into rounds and cook as with normal biscuits. Yum! These are definatly on the list for my homemade christmas hampers this year!

  Really nice biscuits... however, be careful not to be greedy like me and try to slice thinner so as to make more otherwise they crumble once cooked )-; I've made extra batches and frozen them to make over the christmas period!
