Speedy microwave pizza toastie

Method

  1. Toast bread until golden and crisp. Lay tomatoes or sauce over 2 slices of bread. Top with slices of mozzarella and a slice of ham. Lay other piece of toast on top, press lightly together. Put one sandwich on a plate, microwave on High for 45 secs, then repeat for second sandwich.

    I've not tried this, and by the looks of it, nobody else has since it was published. Can't see this ever being anything remotely like acceptable; sorry!

    Very quick and tasty. Nice for lunch in a hurry. BTW KJF_UK please don't rate recipes you haven't tried. It messes up the grading system

    I have been doing this for years. I put two layers of cheese one under top slice of toast and one on top of the bottom slice, that way the cheese melts effectively gluing all together. No butter is needed which cuts the fat content down and done properly is really delicious. I make many variations and always the toast stay crisp and fresh, try it, who needs expensive panini or sandwich toasters?
