Method

  1. Heat oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6. Mix together the crème fraîche, mustard, garlic and stock with some seasoning. Arrange the chicken, skin-side up, in a roasting tray just large enough for the chicken and vegetables.

  2. Tuck the potatoes and beans in between the chicken pieces. Pour over the stock mixture then season the chicken and drizzle with honey. Cook for 40-45 mins until the chicken is cooked through and the potatoes tender. Scatter over the tarragon before serving

Made this last night and it was so simple and delicious! Am already planning when to next make it and what I'll add/change next time. Personally, there was too much honey making it too sweet for my taste - so next time I'll use half the amount. Also planning on trying it with some onion and mushrooms.

Definately worth cooking the beans seperately. A nice easy family dinner. Will cook this one again and again

really nice sauce. couldn't get hold of any creme fraiche so used greek yoghurt instead, which made the consistency thinner than i would like but was a good substitute. left out the potatoes and served with mash and peas instead.

Sticky and sweet - you could do this without the chicken as a side dish too.

Great super easy recipe. Agree re the beans, I have made it lots of times now and tuck a few beans in under the chicken then cook extra separately. Tastes even better the next day.

This was incredibly easy and went down well with a fussy nephew. Definitely one to try when short of time.

This recipe creates a lovely flavour in the chicken. Make sure you use small potatoes, or give the whole dish longer in the oven to ensure they are not hard. Also, add the beans in 10 or 15 minutes after everything else, otherwise they will come out a little crisp! For those who prefer a non dairy option - it also works with soya dream...

Lovely recipe, easy and tasty. I agree about the beans though. Next time I'll cook them seperately and add at the end. Roasted beans aren't nice.

Having read a few comments I gave this an hour to cook instead of the recommended time so the potatoes were cooked. I liked the greens cooked as suggested - wrinkly but tasty. It was spot on. Easy and a crowd pleaser.
