  • 100g soft blue cheese

  1. Cook the gnocchi in a large pan of boiling water according to pack instructions. Plunge the spinach into the same pan, then immediately drain through a colander and shake off any excess water.

  2. Put the crème fraîche in a small ovenproof dish with the grated parmesan. Add the hot, drained gnocchi and spinach and give everything a good stir. Crumble the blue cheese over and season with ground pepper.

  3. Slide the dish under a hot grill until the cheese is bubbling and golden. Serve immediately.

Absolutely delicious and in such little time... like many others who have mentioned in their comments; my hubby too preferred crispy bacon sprinkled on top. I also added fried mushrooms and roasted pines nuts as suggested by some members below.

Very tasty! I used half fat creme fraiche (think it probably would have been too rich otherwise!) and added fried mushrooms, served with a salad. Mixed half the blue cheese in with the gnocchi, and sprinkled the rest on top :)

Used some mascarpone together with creme fraiche just because I had some of the former to use up. Otherwise I stuck with the recipe. Loads of flavour and super quick so will happily make again.

I added some crisped up lardons as well, for an extra something. Delicious!

Maximum flavour from such simplicity of method. Really delicious. I added some peas because I didn't have enough spinach and they worked well, but really I think that it's best to make this dish as written. Yummy stuff,

I don't like blue cheese so changed it to Feta and added some ricotta I had in the fridge.Excellent mid week meal-easy, fast and yummy!

Mmmm yummy, next time will use nutmeg and garlic...even without its a dish that is greater than the sum of its parts...Main bonus it was done in 10 mins

Too rich for me too though my husband loved it.

This was far too rich and sickly for our taste. I won't be making it again. If you adore blue cheese i'm sure you'll love it :)

There was a little too much blue cheese in this for me. The sauce it made was a nice thickness and coated the gnocchi nicely - I would prefer something similar with a different cheese I think. Probably wouldn't make it again, but this is for personal taste reasons rather than any issue with the recipe.

I made this following the recipe exactly and it was lovely! I would thoroughly recommend it - the ingredients were simple and it hardly took any time to make.

So easy and oh, so delicious!

REALLY easy and the sauce tastes gorgeous. One of my friends suggested using four cheese tortelloni instead of gnocchi (for a REAL cheese hit!) and I LOVE it. Definitely a hit in our house!
