Miso pollack with edamame noodles

Method

  1. Mix the miso paste with the sugar and 1 tbsp of the lemon juice. Spread over the fish and crack some pepper over.
  2. Mix the sesame oil, remaining lemon juice and the chilli. Boil the noodles in salted water, adding the edamame for the last minute. Drain and toss with the dressing.
  3. Put the fish on a baking tray and grill for 4 minutes or until crisp at the edges and cooked through. Serve with the noodles.

    Love the recipe. :) I picked up the olive! magazine just before boarding the plane at Heathrow Airport. Luv the fact that it was low calorie so I made a modified version of it with somen noodles and less miso. It's delicious!     id love to try this but where do i find Miso paste. I have rung Asda, Sainsburys and Morrisons in my home town and none of them stock it, can anyone help?!

    Jooles, Tesco often sell it in their speciality foods section the brand is "Yutaka" and it comes in a little box that contains little 18g sachets of paste so I guess you might need a shade under two. Otherwise I have seen it in larger Sainsburys and definitely Waitrose in jars but I like the Yutaka one the most, it's just a shame it comes in those fiddly sachets!

  • 2 tbsp miso paste (available from most supermarkets)
  • 1 tbsp golden caster sugar
  • 1 lemon , juiced
  • 2 x 125g skinless pollack fillets
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 red chilli , seeded and chopped
  • 100g soba noodles
  • 150g edamame soya beans (M&S and Waitrose sell them in the freezer section)
