Japanese-style beef salad
Why not give steak the salad treatment for a low-fat midweek supper?

- Brush the steak with 1 tsp oil and season. Heat a frying or griddle pan until very hot then sear the steak for 2 minutes each side. rest for 5 minutes and thinly slice.
- Mix the dressing ingredients together. arrange the steak and baby gem on two plates, pour over the dressing and scatter with radishes.

- 1 small carrot , grated
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 shallot , finely chopped
- 1 tbsp grated root ginger
