Made as one large trifle for a dinner party and not only did it look impressive it tasted divine. So easy to put together and definately the way I will be making all trifles from now on.

This was so easy and looked fab. Great for my dinner party as it ment that I wasn't away from my guests making complicated last minute desserts. Not at all heavy like traditional trifle.

Didn't believe that this would taste as good as it looked - but it did, and more! The quicked and easiest dessert ever. I used Strawberry Grenadine Syrup instead of liqueur as it was cheaper (about £3 outta Tesco) and non-alcoholic - fab alternative, though did use quite a bit.

I've made this several times now, so easy and everyone loves it - I use cassis, and you do need a fair bit to make the sponge nice and moist, but no-one seems to complain!

I seem to be in the minority here, but I found it far too dry. Maybe it was the brand of madeira cake I used. I was a little wary of adding too much alcohol, but if I were to make it again (unlikely) I'd add some fruit juice.

Yep - another thumbs up from the family for this one. Simple to make, used cherry liqueur as I wasn't going to buy strawberry liqueur just for this, and it went down a treat on a lovely sunny August Sunday.

This was lovely! Served them after lunch in the garden on Sunday and they went down very well indeed. The creme de cassis was perfect in them.
