Method

  1. Peel potatoes and cut each into 8 pieces.
  2. Heat 2 tbsp oil and fry sliced onion till brown. Add ginger garlic paste, cumin powder and cook for 5 mins.
  3. Add meat and brown well. Add potatoes, red chillies, 1 cup water and 1 1/2 tsp salt. Bring to boil.
  4. Add more water, if necessary and cook till meat is tender. Cook till 2 cups gravy remains.
  5. Add boiled peas, powdered spices. Serve hot.

  • 1/2 kg mutton cut into cubes
  • 2 onions, finely sliced
  • 3 medium potatoes
  • 1/4 cup shelled peas, boiled
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/4 tsp cumin powder
  • 2 dry red chillies
  • 1 cup milk
  • Grind to a powder :
  • 2" piece cinnamon stick
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 cardamom
  • 1 tsp dhansak masala
