All about BBC Good Food's Healthy Diet Plan...

Kerry Torrens

Our Healthy Diet Plan includes recipes compiled by BBC Good Food’s nutritional therapist Kerry Torrens. It includes 21 nutritionally balanced meals including breakfasts, lunches and dinners, plus healthy snack suggestions for the week ahead, accompanied by tips and information to help you understand these healthier choices.

Kerry Torrens explains what you can expect from BBC Good Food’s Healthy Diet Plan:
''After a month on this plan, you’ll feel full of energy – and you may even see some weight loss too. The plan is well balanced, so none of the major food groups have been left out, giving your body a boost of nutritionally rich food from fresh fruit and veg, lean protein, healthy fats, wholegrains and fibre, while staying well hydrated. The focus is on low-GI eating, so you get enough of the right kind of carbs, balanced with lean sources of protein in every meal and snack.''

When will I get my first meal plan?
We will send you an e-mail shortly after you sign up with links to the meal plans included. If you have any problems with accessing or receiving the plans please e-mail us at goodfoodwebsite@bbc.com.

I am very disappointed - the 'Summer' healthy diet plan consists of 1 week of recipes and that's it. I was expecting at least 4 weeks menus. A diet needs variety to keep people on track. Are we expected to eat the same food week after week. I can't even access the menu plans now and I only joined last week. I didn't even try the lunch recipes as I do not have time to prepare that kind of thing - I work full time and was hoping for quick uncomplicated healthy lunch recipes. With all the recipes at your disposal 'Good Food' I was expecting a lot more from you.

I am half way through the vegetarian version of this diet and I am singularly unimpressed. I have been a wholefood vegetarian for most of my life and diet plans rarely cater for this so I was expecting to be very pleased indeed. Unfortunately at day 4. I am sorely missing my salads and fresh fruit. Just about everything is cooked. Moreover it is mostly food that is out of season - not a cabbage leaf in sight! It feels like a diet prepared by a nutritionist who hasn't cooked or eaten any of it. Many of the timings are faulty, e.g. brown rice needs longer than the stated 15 minutes. Very unhappy but I will carry on grimly to the end. My husband is equally unhappy. We are looking forward to some tasty food once we've finished
