Phil Vickery

This family man and chef has an unpretentious approach to cooking with inspired results. The proof is literally in the pudding.

As those with a passion for puds can tell you, Phil Vickery is something of a national treasure. He may be one of Britain's most well-known and liked chefs, but as his career can attest, he is among the most skilled too.

Over the years, the down-to-earth chef has consistently attracted recognition for his unpretentious, subtle style of cooking. Among the awards and accolades have been four consecutive Michelin stars, an AA Restaurant Guide rating as one of Britain's top 20 chefs, a number of Rosettes and, of course, the enviable ability to make what the Good Food Guide calls 'supreme puddings'.

Other passions

Away from the kitchen, Phil has a quite a following, with his recipes and writing appearing in various food magazines, as well as making regular appearances on ITV's This Morning programme which his wife Fern Britton co-hosts.

Phil has also written several bestselling cookbooks, which have attracted rave reviews including Just Food, The Proof of the Pudding and most recently A Passion For Puddings.
