Caroline Hire
Caroline has worked as a chef, restaurant critic and web journalist.
Following a degree in Classics, Caroline could no longer deny her passion for cooking and trained at Tante Marie School of Cookery.
Roving the earth in search of good food, she went on to work as a chef in hotels around the UK, before heading to a variety of glamorous locations abroad as a cook for Formula 1 drivers and crew. She has also spent time catering for events in London with Absolute Taste and cooked for a wide range of private clients.
From mousse to mouse
Caroline moved to a career in web journalism in 2000 and has worked for Red Magazine, BBC Lifestyle and Good Food Channel. In her spare time, she writes restaurant reviews for Time Out Eating Drinking Guide and recipes for various publications. She is currently Food editor of bbcgoodfood.com.
Caroline makes a mean carrot cake and never misses an opportunity to celebrate an occasion through the medium of baking.
