Caroline Hire
bbcgoodfood.com's editor has worked as a chef, restaurant critic and web journalist.
After university, Caroline followed her passion for food and trained at Tante Marie School of Cookery.
She went on to work as a chef in a number of Scottish hotels, before travelling abroad to cook for drivers and crew on the Grand Prix Circuit and at events in London, for Absolute Taste.
From kitchen to computer
She moved to a career in web journalism in 2000 and has worked for Red Magazine, BBC Lifestyle and UKTV Food. Caroline has written reviews for Time Out Eating Drinking Guide and recipes for various publications, including the Daily Express. She is now editor of bbcgoodfood.com.
