Abbie Dobson

BBC News at Ten producer Abbie brings her nose for a breaking news story to her food writing.

Abbie is a producer for the BBC News at Ten. Working to pressure and to tight deadlines for the BBC's flagship news programme means that it's no surprise that she's always been attracted to the buzz and intensity of the kitchen. Her food writing aims to prompt debate and is often led by the news agenda.

Abbie's interest and passion for food began aged seven when she used to watch her mother prepare resplendent dinner parties. They would feature retro favourites such as beef stroganoff and delicate patisserie including black cherry frangipane and glazed apple tarts.
