It's been a busy year at bbcgoodfood.com HQ. Our facebook community has grown to over 50,000, we've attracted more than 40,000 twitter followers and your comments and recipe ratings on the site continue to pour in thick and fast.
The site's grown fast in the last 12 months - with over a 1000 new mouth watering recipes popping up for your perusal. It therefore wasn't easy to whittle them down to just the 10 most popular of 2011, but we've done it. Here are the best of the best from the past year - as rated by you...
1) Chicken & chorizo jambalaya:
This super healthy, family one-pot was the foodie's favourite of 2011 - and it's not hard to see why. Low in fat, packed with vitamin C and containing two of your most searched for ingredients; chorizo and chicken - this everyday dish has it all.
2) Honey, mustard & crème fraîche baked chicken:
The overwhelmingly positive comments on this flavourful favourite hails it for being a speedy, simple staple that tastes great too. What more could you ask for?
3) Malt chocolate cheesecake:
Inspired by BBC Two's Great British Bake Off our very own Sarah Cook beat the winter blues in January with this choc-tastic cheesecake, which proved to be your dinner party darling of 2011.
4) Mushroom & sausage pasta:
This 30-minute supper was a saucy success. A simple idea with a punchy flavour that's easily adapted to taste - it's always a winner with our users.
5) Strawberry & white chocolate mousse cake:
In the midst of Wimbledon fever, this stunning cheesecake came out on top for summer soirees up and down the country. Freezer-friendly or lovely straight from the fridge, this beautiful treat is light, soft and moussey.
6) Chicken parmigiana
A hearty yet healthy, purse-friendly dish: our taste team loved this for the tender chicken, complimentary sauce and the fact it's a breeze to make.
7) Summer fruit drizzle cake
This scrummy cake was the cover star of Good Food Magazine August 2011. Pick your favourite, seasonal fruit and enjoy this versatile loaf all year round.
8) The ultimate makeover: Chicken pie
Angela Nielsen waved her calorie-cutting wand over many a favourite this year but it was her low-fat, super healthy chicken pie that really caught your attention.
9) Chocolate & banana cake
Rich and moist with a soured cream and chocolate icing, this treat is ideal for afternoon tea and can be made-ahead and frozen making it the ultimate easy recipe.
10) Italian vegetable soup
Last but certainly not least in our top 10 is another super healthy staple - a veggie classic that's chunky, warming and two of your five a day.
