Cookery books are all very well, I've got rows of them at home - Jamie Oliver, Gordon Ramsay, Madhur Jaffrey, Claudia Roden, Donna Hay, the list goes on - but when it comes to what's going on the table tonight, it usually boils down to a fridge-meets-storecupboard affair.

Sometimes this can be the makings of a truly, round-of-applause worthy meal, other times it simply does the job. One thing I've realised though, is that unless I write the exact ingredients down I'll never really be able to recreate a success. And as a result, I have a pile of hand-scrawled, slightly sticky recipe sheets that are well-loved...by me.

If you're also harbouring a mini-cookbook of creations that are begging to be shared (afterall, isn't that what cooking's about?), then finally, we've got the perfect place for them. You can now publish your own recipes right here on our website.

To kick it off, I've added my Wild boar and venison stew. It came about after my butcher coaxed me into buying his 'game stew mix' (chunks of venison and wild boar and not a 'how to' label in sight). Coupled with a dash around my local shops, the result was a rich and meaty casserole with chunks of pancetta, chestnut mushrooms and a very generous splash (ok, almost a bottle) of red wine.

To add your recipes, all you need to do it sign up or log in to your binder, click on 'Your own recipes' and start writing. It's a good idea to save the recipe in 'Word' or 'Notebook' beforehand and if you've got a digital picture of the finished dish, even better.

So, if you have a mouth-watering dish that you'd like to share, add it to bbcgoodfood.com and join today's recipe royalty. Jamie and Gordon - watch out!

Open QuoteIts a great idea - recipe sharing. What would be really great is some sort of forum where we could swap ideas and get some live feedback to ideas and problems. I have problems with my bread at the moment (I am fairly experienced in the baking department) and nowhere else can I find assistance, help or tips on this subject.

Open QuoteTwo of my very good friends started their own website about a year ago and we all try and submit recipes that we have cooked. Im terrible for coming up with ideas, cooking them, and not writing them down. The recipe never turns out the same. Check out their wicked website and Im sure they would appreciate your comments. www.loadsofrecipes.co.uk

Open QuoteSounds like a great excuse to make some of my chicken liver pate (for the photo of course)... How accurate should the recipes be though? I have weights for the livers & butter, but everything else is a bit 'to taste' & the instructions can be anything from textbook-style cooking to very cheeky & long winded - what would people prefer?
