This mixed case takes you on a journey around the world of wine. From the Old World there’s a deeply flavoured rioja; a claret from one of the best Bordeaux vintages of recent years; and something a little unusual, a pinot grigio from Hungary. The New World is represented by a gorgeously scented blend of grenache, syrah and mourvèdre from Australia’s Barossa Valley; an appley chenin blanc from South Africa; and a classic sauvignon blanc from New Zealand.

    The wines:

Dinastia Manzanos Oak Aged Rioja 2015
Patronus 'Batch 2' Barossa GSM 2011
    Château Le Coin Bordeaux 2015
Split Rock Nelson Sauvignon Blanc 2016
    The Rustler Chenin Blanc 2016
    Campanula Pinot Grigio 2015

There's a wealth of variety in this case of white wines. There’s superbly fresh New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, perhaps Britain's favourite style of wine; a Chenin from South Africa, a wine that really over-delivers for the money; from Hungary there's a honeyed Pinot Grigio, much richer than the Italian equivalent; if you like white Burgundy you’ll love the white Rioja, a blend of Viura and Chardonnay; in a fuller style is the Chilean Chardonnay which is all citrus and toasty notes; and finally something completely different, a Picpoul de Pinet from the Languedoc, one of the world's greatest seafood wines.

    The wines:

Split Rock Nelson Sauv Blanc 2016
    The Rustler Chenin Blanc 2016
    Campanula Pinot Grigio 2015
Los Hermanos Manzanos Blanco Barrica 2014
Les Hauts De Morin-langaran Picpoul 2015
    Don Cayetano Chardonnay 2015

This case is packed with treats for the red wine lover. There’s a Cabernet blend made by one of France’s top estates, Mas de Daumas Gassac; a tremendous Rioja in a bold fruity style; then there’s the aptly named Il Brutto wines from Puglia, a wine custom-made to knock your socks off. The case also contains the ultimate Sunday lunch wine, the Le Coin from Bordeaux, a violet-scented Argentine Malbec; and finally a real treat, a blend of very old vine Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvedre from one of Australia’s finest regions, the Barossa valley - you will love its fresh raspberry fruit and warm spicy finish.

Dinastia Manzanos Oak Aged Rioja 2015
